Located in one of the most beautiful corners of the Sierra del Cadí, on the northern slope of the spectacular Pas dels Gosolans, the Prat de Aguiló refuge was inaugurated in 1976. It forms part of the popular Cavalls del Vent and Alta Ruta del Cadí routes, that cover all the refuges of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. This is a mandatory stop if you do this journey or if you want to reach Comabona (2,548 m), the most popular peak in this part of the mountains. Excellent base camp if you want to practice mountaineering. It is also highly recommended to access it via the PR-C 124 from the town of Olià (Cerdanya).

  Accessible by all-terrain vehicle from Montellà.
• Access on foot
  From Montellà (3 h). And on the south side, through the Gosolans pass (2.30 h).
